Huawei inverters picked for 110-MW solar project in Greece

November 11 (Renewables Now) – China’s Huawei Technologies Co Ltd has clinched a deal to supply 110 MW of photovoltaic (PV) inverters for a solar project in Greece.

The order for the Huawei FusionSolar inverters was placed by a Greek unit of Krannich Solar, which is certified to distribute the specific type of inverters in Greece and Cyprus. Around 95 MW of the total volume has already been supplied, while the remaining capacity is due to be delivered by the end of this year, Huawei said on Tuesday.

The names of the project and Krannish Solar’s client were not announced. Deliveries are being made through Huawei’s partner SKE GmbH.

Huawei FusionSolar is new generation string inverters with smart management technology that create a fully digitalised Smart PV Solution integrating digital, Internet and PV technologies.

“In Greece, the company, is already dynamically positioned in the new era of the PV market, and is further strengthening its local presence to respond even more efficiently to the growing demand and requirements of the installed base with a variety of services [..],” said Sam Zheng, regional sales director at Huawei.
